Happy Holidays

Village Management Services wishes everyone in the Village a very happy and healthy holidays. Please be sure to check the PDF below for facility and office hours for VMS observed holidays, Wednesday, December 24; Thursday, December 25; and Thursday, January 1. Other holiday information is as follows:

Transport

On Wednesday, December 24, Plan-a-Ride service will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Boost (Lyft) service will be available from 7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 10 p.m. There will be no service on Thursday, December 25, or Thursday, January 1. Call Transportation at 949-597-4659 pour planifier tous les trajets.

Ramassage des déchets et des encombrants

There will be no trash or bulky-item pickup on Thursday, December 25, or Thursday, January 1. When a holiday falls on a weekday, collections will be delayed by one day each for the remainder of the week. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be no delay in service and collection days will remain unchanged.

Clubhouse 4 Operating as Usual

On Monday, December 15, at approximately 10 p.m., a small fire occurred in the metal shop area within the woodshop at Clubhouse 4. The fire sprinkler system activated as designed, and Orange County Fire Authority responded and confirmed the fire was contained.

No injuries were reported.

As a result of sprinkler activation, water impacted the woodshop and jewelry room. Restoration and safety assessments are underway, and those two rooms are temporarily closed. All other Clubhouse 4 amenities remain open and are operating as usual.

VMS has engaged the appropriate fire, electrical, restoration, insurance and safety professionals. Additional updates will be shared once reopening timelines for the affected rooms are available.

Recyclez vos sapins de Noël

The Landscaping Services Department will pick up Christmas trees on the first three Fridays of the new year: January 2, 9 and 16.

All discarded trees will be ground into mulch and used in the shrub beds and slopes throughout the community.

Please be sure to remove all tinsel, ornaments and lights from the tree before placing it adjacent to the street or at the curb.

At this first-of-its-kind community buffet event on Monday, January 26, at 5 p.m. in the Clubhouse 1 Main Lounge, Community Connections offers a relaxed evening designed to build new friendships and bring neighbors together through themed dining.

Martinez’s buffet menu features beef brisket, chicken marsala, scalloped potatoes, garden salad, fresh fruit, rolls and butter, and chocolate cream and key lime pies.

Tickets are $28 per person and go on sale Tuesday, December 23, at the Clubhouse 1 office.

Oversee VMS Operations, Support Staff

La gestion du village de Laguna Woods est unique et se distingue de la plupart des communautés réservées aux personnes âgées. Depuis 2016, la communauté est gérée par Village Management Services Inc. (VMS), une société à but non lucratif détenue par ses membres et à but non lucratif, qui offre des services complets au village et à ses résidents. 

Le conseil d'administration de VMS diffère de ceux de GRF, Third et United en ce qu'il supervise les opérations de VMS et soutient ses employés. Les réunions sont ouvertes aux membres des autres conseils d'administration lorsqu'elles ne sont pas à huis clos, et les questions relatives au personnel sont alors à l'ordre du jour.

‘Red One’ Screening Rescheduled

On Monday, December 22, the PAC brings on the holiday mood with “Red One.” After Santa Claus is kidnapped, the North Pole’s Head of Security must team up with a notorious hacker in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.

Due to an issue during the original 7 p.m. showing on December 8, an additional screening has been scheduled for Monday, December 22, at 7 p.m. Please help spread the word and join us. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the movie begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free; no tickets are required. The Performing Arts Center/Clubhouse 3 is located at 23822 Avenida Sevilla.

Experience an unforgettable evening of music, glamour and nostalgia Wednesday, December 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Listen to legendary hits that defined generations, including “Believe,” “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Strong Enough,” performed live by the extraordinary Annika. With powerful vocals, dazzling stage presence and spot-on authenticity, she channels the spirit of Cher like no other.

An Evening to Welcome 2026

Ring in the new year with dinner and dancing Wednesday, December 31, at Clubhouse 5. Doors open to welcome guests at 4 p.m., dinner by Martinez starts at 5 p.m. and Sensation performs from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

The menu features a choice of roast pork loin, chicken cordon bleu or vegetable lasagna. The GRF no-host bar will provide beverages and cocktails, and complimentary champagne will be served at 9 p.m.

Tickets are $70 per person in the Clubhouse 5 office. Credit card/check only; card fees apply.
