Clubhouse 4 Woodshop on Track to Reopen

On December 15, 2025, a fire occurred inside the woodshop at Clubhouse 4, prompting a response from the Orange County Fire Authority. The fire was contained by the building’s sprinkler system, but fire and water damage impacted the woodshop and surrounding areas, temporarily disrupting operations. Crews subsequently assessed the damage and began cleanup and demolition work.

That work is now complete, clearing the way for the next phase of recovery. A containment has been installed to allow reconstruction to move forward while keeping a majority of the woodshop operational, with activity resuming alongside ongoing repairs.

Final testing of woodshop equipment is scheduled for the first week of February to ensure all systems are safe and fully functional. If all goes as planned, the woodshop will reopen on Friday, February 6, 2026, marking the final step in restoring a well-used and well-loved community space.

Avoid Duplicate Charges When Paying Online

If you make a credit or debit card payment through the resident portal for chargeable or assessment invoices, please allow up to four business days for the payment to post to your account.

Please do not return to the resident portal within those four business days to submit another payment. Doing so will result in a duplicate charge to your credit or debit card. If a duplicate payment occurs, additional staff time is required to manually process the refund. Once requested, refunds may take up to seven business days to be credited back to your account.

If an invoice still appears outstanding more than four business days after you have made a payment, please email ar@vmsinc.org before submitting another payment to avoid additional charges.

Payments made by check and sent by mail may take up to 10 business days to post to your account.

Friendly reminder about payment methods:

  • Paying chargeable service invoices by credit or debit card does not incur a credit card service fee.
  • Paying monthly assessments by credit or debit card does incur a 3.5 percent credit card company service fee.

To avoid the service fee on assessment payments, residents are encouraged to enroll in EZ Pay, a Golden Rain Foundation of Laguna Woods program and the most efficient way to pay assessments.

EZ Pay enrollment forms are available on the Laguna Woods Village website under Services > Financial Services > EZ Pay Automatic Payment Program.
