To improve service, Broadband Services will be conducting satellite maintenance activity on Wednesday, February 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. During that time, you may experience signal loss and programming interruption sporadically throughout the day. Local, music and foreign channels will not be affected. After this scheduled maintenance, the programming will return to normal.

Durante fuertes vientos y lluvias, el Departamento de Paisajismo mantiene patrullas de tormentas para garantizar la seguridad de los residentes, mantener las calles y aceras despejadas y minimizar los daños a la propiedad. Durante estos eventos, los equipos de mantenimiento de paisajismo patrullan las ocho secciones de mantenimiento para retirar ramas caídas, destapar desagües y colocar sacos de arena en zonas de alto caudal. Además de estas patrullas, equipos de mantenimiento de árboles, tanto contratados como de personal, están de guardia en caso de caída de un árbol. 

En el pueblo y en la mayor parte del sur de California, los árboles se plantan en zonas de regadío, lo que da lugar a sistemas radiculares poco profundos. Cuando el suelo se satura por las lluvias, estas raíces poco profundas pueden aumentar la susceptibilidad de los árboles a la caída. Hace tres años, el Departamento de Paisajismo implementó un programa de poda de árboles basado en especies, lo que ha permitido podarlos con mayor frecuencia y reducir el riesgo de desarraigo.

Durante las recientes tormentas causadas por el fenómeno del río atmosférico, la localidad solo sufrió la caída de unos pocos árboles y aproximadamente una docena de ramas. No se reportaron inundaciones ni desagües obstruidos, ni se realizaron llamadas de emergencia fuera del horario laboral para trabajos de arbolado. Servicios a Residentes recibió aproximadamente 15 llamadas relacionadas con ramas caídas; la mayoría de estas llamadas fueron atendidas por las secciones de mantenimiento. Zoom allows Village residents to virtually raise their hand, ask questions and speak to board and committee members in real time.

To attend virtual board or committee meetings, just look for the Zoom meeting link in the Open Forum section of the respective board or committee agenda posted on lagunawoodsvillage.com > Calendars (TeamUp). Click on the link a few minutes prior to the meeting to launch Zoom. Then select Open Zoom Meetings and Launch Meeting when prompted. Residents will not need to register or enter a password to attend.

Members who wish to speak during the member comment agenda item may use the Raise Hand button on the Zoom screen. Members will be recognized in the order in which they have raised the hand. The corporate secretary will then enable the member to speak.
