Shop Sprouts, Ralphs, Smart & Final, Island Pacific Seafood Market and more at The Arbor in Lake Forest. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning Monday, April 13, Commercial Route 3 to The Arbor departs hourly from Clubhouse 1 beginning at 10 a.m., with the final run returning to Clubhouse 1 at 3 p.m. Residents have up to four hours to shop, bank or enjoy lunch at the many nearby restaurants.

LWAA 2026 Winning Artwork

During a one-month period, hundreds of Village residents voted for their single-favorite artwork in the 2026 Laguna Woods Art Association exhibition, showcased along the first- and third-floor hallways of the Laguna Woods Village Community Center at 24351 El Toro Road.

The voters have spoken, and painting No. 60, “Desert Majesty,” a 60-by-40-inch oil on canvas painted by Bernice Gross, takes the prize in this year’s competition. Many hearty congratulations to Ms. Gross!

If you haven’t yet had an opportunity to check out the exhibit at the Community Center, and “Desert Majesty,” displayed on the wall opposite the concierge desk, please visit and enjoy soon!

Sunlight lovers will rejoice on Sunday, March 8, when our clocks once again move ahead one hour at 2 a.m., returning to us an hour of daylight in the evening hours. However, for others, it is one less hour to hunker down under the covers (and it’s darker in the morning), making this a tough transition. Here are some tips for adjusting to the time change:

When the time first changes, it can be harder to fall asleep at your usual bedtime.
To avoid losing an hour of sleep, plan to go to bed an hour earlier on Saturday, March 7.
Avoid caffeine in the hours leading up to bedtime.
Wind down before bed with relaxing activities like reading.
While you adjust, try to avoid daytime napping, which will only delay returning to a good sleep schedule.
Take midday walks outside to take advantage of prime daylight hours.

Pool Locker Room Access Update

Beginning Monday, March 9, locker rooms at all Village pools will be accessible only during official pool operating hours.

Locker rooms will no longer open 15 minutes prior to pool opening or remain open 15 minutes after pool closing. Access will align exactly with posted pool hours.

This update is being made to support pool safety operations. Aligning locker room access with official pool hours ensures that lifeguards can complete all required opening procedures before any residents enter the deck or pool area. It also ensures guards are fully prepared to actively supervise the pool from the moment it opens.

A New Era for PAC Ticketing

The Performing Arts Center is introducing a new ticketing platform powered by vivenu, offering a more modern and user-friendly way to explore upcoming events. The updated system provides a richer experience, with photos, videos and expanded information about each performance.

Getting Tickets

Purchasing tickets online is simple and convenient. Residents can visit टिकट.lagunawoodsvillage.com or access the ticketing page through the dashboard on the resident portal. Please note that residents must be logged into the resident portal to complete a ticket purchase.

What’s New

Several updates make the ticketing process more flexible and convenient. Customers can now use Google Pay online, and Apple Pay and American Express at the box office. Online service fees remain unchanged at $2 per ticket. Standard credit card processing fees apply at $0.30 plus 2.9% per transaction.

After purchase, tickets are automatically emailed and can be downloaded or added to a digital wallet. Both formats are valid for entry.

Customers may also transfer tickets electronically to another resident or guest, eliminating the need to contact the box office for assistance.

Series ticket holders will receive automatic renewal notices and can purchase the new series online while keeping their same seats.

Box Office Support

The box office remains available to help, open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and one hour prior to performances.

Looking Ahead

The PAC anticipates introducing ticket scanning for entry in 2027 to further streamline the event experience.

Treatment Protects Our Eucalyptus Trees

The Landscaping Department has initiated emergency treatment and monitoring efforts to protect eucalyptus trees impacted by the invasive dotted paropsine leaf beetle. This pest feeds on eucalyptus leaves, causing defoliation, canopy thinning and long-term stress that can leave trees vulnerable to decline and secondary pest damage.

Crews are conducting soil drenching treatments designed to deliver targeted, systemic protection through the root zone. In addition, bark banding is being applied to add a secondary layer of treatment to help limit further infestation.

Trees being treated will be marked with yellow flags. Once dry, the treatment is inert.

Experts emphasize that early intervention is critical to preserving tree health and maintaining the environmental and aesthetic benefits eucalyptus trees provide to the community. Monitoring will continue in the coming months to assess treatment effectiveness and determine whether follow-up care is needed.

Residents who notice excessive leaf loss or unusual tree decline are encouraged to report concerns to Resident Services at residentservices@vmsinc.org या 949-597-4600.

Ting Fiber Rollout

Installation of Ting Fiber Internet is well underway throughout Laguna Woods Village, with crews continuing work across the community. As construction progresses, residents may see technicians completing neighborhood infrastructure and in-manor connections.

The site includes details about upcoming events, installation timelines and what to expect before, during and after your appointment. While there, explore the Help Center for troubleshooting tips, guidance on connecting with a live agent and helpful articles designed to make your Ting Fiber experience simple and stress-free.

Receive Notifications

To ensure you receive important notifications from Ting, confirm your phone number and email address with Resident Services at residentservices@vmsinc.org या 949-597-4600. Official emails will come from lagunawoodsvillage@ting.com. Calls or text messages will come from 714-263-1826 and will identify as Ting. Residents will receive appointment reminders at 60, 30, 21, three and one day prior to their scheduled installation.

Before Installation

Before your technician arrives, please clear space near your current modem or router, confirm that an electrical outlet is available and decide which two devices you would like connected to your new network. During the appointment, the technician will install the modem and router, connect two wireless devices and confirm that your internet and TV services are working before leaving.

Additional Support From the PC Club

The PC Club is assisting residents throughout the Ting transition. The club has developed a dedicated section of its website focused entirely on the Ting Fiber Broadband project, offering updates, guidance and technical resources. Between Ting’s website resources and the PC Club’s support, residents have multiple reliable sources for clear, up-to-date information as the rollout continues.

Suppose you’re away on vacation and water leaks into your manor. Or you misplace your keys and cannot get inside. In urgent situations like these, having a key or entry code on file can help prevent damage and reduce stress.

Resident Services maintains a secure key file for Laguna Woods Village residents. Participation is completely voluntary, but residents are encouraged to submit a manor key or keyless entry code for added peace of mind.

Benefits of the Key File Program

In an emergency, authorized personnel can access your manor to perform necessary repairs and help prevent further damage.
If you are locked out, Security Services personnel can assist you in gaining entry.

How Keyless Entry Codes Are Protected

For manors with keyless entry, your code is stored securely. The code is kept with the key hook in a locked drawer in Resident Services. For security reasons, the code is never entered into any electronic system.

If assistance is needed, Security checks out the key hook, helps the resident gain access and immediately returns the hook to Resident Services, where it is placed back in the locked drawer assigned to that manor.

Village Living Mar. 10

Join us Tuesday, March 10, for the next Laguna Woods Village Living session.

Held monthly on the second Tuesday, these sessions welcome new, current and prospective residents who want to learn more about Village amenities, resources and community life.

The event runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Elm Room at the Community Center (24351 El Toro Road). Seating is limited and RSVP is required.

Each session is led by Village ambassadors, dedicated resident volunteers with extensive knowledge of the community, and supported by Communications Division staff. Guests will have an opportunity to ask questions, and staff will provide printed materials to help navigate the Village. A tour of the Community Center will follow the presentation.
