艾莉森曾擔任拉古納尼格爾市公園和娛樂部門主管，負責管理公共娛樂服務和特別活動，並管理所有社區服務設施。她還曾擔任該市的娛樂主管和娛樂協調員，負責策劃和監督大型特別活動和娛樂項目，並協調海洋鄉村老年社區中心的老年人娛樂項目和服務。

多年前，對老化進程的關注激發了艾莉森服務特殊弱勢群體的熱情。在布雷亞老年中心的實習經驗讓她開啟了娛樂事業，累積了造福拉古納伍茲村所需的卓越技能和經驗。 

隨著Alison逐漸適應村裡的工作，管理階層將與董事會合作，共同規劃如何遴選一位常任的娛樂及特別活動總監。歡迎她加入VMS。

在拉古納伍茲村基金會的資金支持下，拉古納伍茲村社會服務部已開始與最佳老化中心合作，創建為期八週的 認知行為療法計畫有助於緩解悲傷、沉重、憂鬱和憂鬱的情緒.

認知行為療法 (CBT) 是一種短期、基於目標的療法，已被證實可有效治療老年人憂鬱症。這種高度結構化的療法透過教育、書面練習和家庭作業等形式，為患者提供各種技能，幫助他們在生活中實現積極的改變。研究表明，老年人對 CBT 的治療結構和學習技能的機會反應良好。

The United Laguna Woods Mutual Board of Directors is seeking four members from the community to serve on a temporary Ad Hoc Investment Committee.

The purpose of the ad hoc committee is to:

• Review United’s existing Investment Policy and, if necessary, make recommendations for changes to the board of directors
• Conduct an in-depth analysis of United’s current investment portfolio
• Review and recommend alternative investment options

Community members with experience as an investment advisor or a business manager with investment oversight are encouraged to participate. Those interested in serving United should submit a brief three- to four-sentence email stating their professional background to Erika.Hernandez@vmsinc.org, VMS Financial Services administrative assistant. Candidates selected by the board will be announced soon.

Email submissions are due by Monday, September 26, 2022.

Ronstadt Revival, Southern California’s premier Linda Ronstadt tribute, will bring the legendary artist’s songs to the Village’s own Performing Arts Center/Clubhouse 3 tomorrow at 7 p.m. From her 1970s beginnings with the Stone Poneys to her amazing renditions of songs by beloved songwriters to her 1980s smash album “Mad Love,” Ronstadt Revival will take you on a timeless journey of your favorites, including “You’re No Good,” “Blue Bayou,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “Tracks of My Tears” and more.

Tonight’s Aquadettes Aqua Follies Show has been canceled due to inclement weather. 

Those who purchased tickets to tonight’s canceled show may attend the Saturday show or the newly added Sunday show. No new ticket is required; both shows will take place at Pool 1, with gates opening at 7 p.m. and the show starting at 8 p.m. 

Those who are unable to attend either the Saturday or Sunday show may request a refund. For tickets purchased from the Recreation and Special Events Department, please request a refund at the Recreation office by Friday, September 16. For tickets purchased directly from the Aquadettes, please email or call the club for a refund at theaquadettes@gmail.com or 949-632-4722.
