華人聯誼會2022年 Pickleball 友誼賽通知
名稱：第一屆華聯杯Pickleball 友誼賽.
目的：春暖花開，萬物復甦時節，為緩解疫情壓力，促進身心健康，華聯會將舉辦一場“Pickleball 友誼賽”，這項活動因為場地在戶外，很適合疫情下鍛煉身體。現在投入這項運動的人日益增加，廣受青睞。並為提高華聯會會員們對Pickleball 的興趣及球友間的交流.
時間：2022年4月7日（週四）10:00-15:00.
地點：Laguna Woods Pickleball Courts at Gate 12.

報名細則，比賽規則和比賽獎金如下：
報名細則
1. 比賽只限於雙打比賽，分A （較高水平球員）， B（中，初級球員）兩組。比賽不分年齡和性別，請大家根據自己水平報名。 每組限報20個名額（以收到報名費為準），報滿為止。若兩組報名多於或少於20人則由組委會決定分配。同時亦考慮增加替補名額以防有人因故缺席。
2. 報名方式： 請大家跟以下兩位聯絡人在乒乓球室或Pickleball 球場報名：

3. 此次友誼賽以華聯會會員為主，但也歡迎非華聯會會員參加。
4. 報名費用： 華聯會會員 $2, 非華聯會員 $5. 報名費包含華聯會提供的午餐（Pizza, 飲水）
比賽規則
5. 比賽搭檔將由組委會在A ， B 各組中隨機抽籤決定。
6. 第一輪比賽，先將每個級別組隨機分成兩個小組（A1， A2， B1，B2， 每個小組有5隊隊員）。小組比賽以單循環形式（round-robin）進行（即每對球員都有機會和小組中的其它四對球員有一次比賽機會）。小組賽以一局（11分）定勝負。比賽採用信任制。賽前，兩隊隊員派代表以投幣選邊或發球。猜對方先選。
7. 比賽用球由華聯會統一提供。
8. 每個小組的名次由每隊的勝局數決定。如果兩隊（或數對）勝賽局相同，則以合計每局的淨胜分較多者為勝。如果兩隊淨勝分再次相同，則以兩對之間比賽中勝者為領先。
9. 每個小組的前兩名進入半決賽，半決賽以交叉進行，即A1 的第一名對陣A2 的第二名，A1的第二名對陣A2 的第一名， B1 的第一名對陣B2 的第二名，B1的第二名對陣B2 的第一名。比賽規則與小組賽相同。
10. A，B兩組的半決賽勝者進入決賽，負者進入3-4名的比賽。決賽比賽由3局2勝決勝負，3-4名比賽還是一局決勝負。
比賽獎金：
每組（A，B） 的冠軍獎金為$50, 亞軍為$30. 季軍為$20, 第四名為$10.

CAC 2022 Pickleball Friendship Tournament
EVENT: The 1st CAC Cup Pickleball Friendship Tournament
PURPOSE: In the spring when flowers are blooming and all things recover, in order to relieve the pressure of the pandemic and promote physical and mental health, CAC will hold a Pickleball Friendship Tournament. Because the venue is outdoors, it is very suitable for exercising during pandemic. More and more people, including many CAC members, are now engaged in this sport, as the sport becomes very popular. Through this tournament, CAC would aim to increase the interest of the CAC members in Pickleball and the connection amongst members.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:
1. The competition is limited to doubles competition, divided into two groups: A (higher level players) and B (intermediate and beginner players). The competition is not divided into age and gender, please register according to your own level. Each group is limited to 20 players (first come first served with the receipt of the registration fee), until all 40 spots are taken. If there are more or less than 20 people in the two groups, it will be decided by the organizing committee. We will also take players on a waiting list as substitutes in case someone is absent for any reason.

3. This friendship tournament is mainly for the members of CAC, but non-members of CAC are also welcome to participate.
4. Registration fee: $2 for members of CAC, $5 for non-members of CAC. The registration fee includes the lunch provided by CAC (Pizza, drinking water)
COMPETITION RULES
5. The competition partner will be randomly selected by the organizing committee in each group A and B.
6. In the first round, each group for each level is randomly divided into two groups (A1, A2, B1, B2, each group has 5 players). Group matches are played on a round-robin basis (ie each pair of players has a chance to play against the other four pairs of players in the group). The group status is decided by one game (11 points). The game uses an honest system (no referee). Before the game, the players of the two teams will send representatives to flip a coin to decide whether to pick which side of the court or serve first. The one who guesses “head” or “tail” correctly will get to pick first.
7. The balls used for the tournament will be provided by CAC.
8. The ranking of each group is determined by the number of games won by each team. If two teams (or pairs) have the same number of wins, the team with the higher total score difference per game wins. If the two teams are again the same on point difference, the winner of the match between the two pairs shall prevail.
9. The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals, and the semi-finals are played in a crossover, that is, the first place of A1 plays against the second place of A2, the second place of A1 plays against the first place of A2, and the first place of B1 plays against the first place of A2. B2’s 2nd place, B1’s 2nd place against B2’s 1st place. The rules of the game are the same as in the first round.
10. The winners of the semi-finals of the two groups A and B will enter the final, and the losers will enter the 3-4 match. The final match consists of 3 games and 2 wins, and the 3-4 match is one game only.
COMPETITION PRIZES:
The first prize for each group (A, B) is $50, the second place is $30. The third place is $20, and the fourth place is $10.
