Resident Portal

Village residents can access the new Resident portal online. The portal allows residents to view account balances, view and print statements, pay assessments or chargeable services via credit card, view work orders and submit service requests online, and will incorporate additional features in the future, such as vehicle and emergency contact information.

Annual Guest Passes

Annual guest pass applications and nonresident owner applications are available at all clubhouses, the Towers, the Laguna Woods Village Library and the Community Center. Online applications are available below. A maximum of five annual passes can be issued per manor.

Return your applications to the Community Center, attn: Community Access, P.O. Box 2220, Laguna Hills, CA 92654, along with a legal-sized, self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Before giving a pass to your guest, please print in large, legible letters the first and last name of the passholder on the line provided. Only the named passholder may use the pass. Any pass presented without the passholder’s name properly printed will be confiscated and the passholder immediately escorted out of the Village.

This is a courtesy reminder that you are responsible for the conduct of your guests. For everyone’s enjoyment and quality of life, please be sure your guests know and comply with all community rules.

  1. Laguna Woods Village is private property. Violation of community rules can result in immediate removal from the premises and permanent revocation of guest privileges.
  2. Pass must be presented to gate staff when entering Laguna Woods Village and upon request of any security officer, other staff or a resident.
  3. Passholders are not authorized to clear other vehicles through the gates.
  4. All commonplace traffic rules must be observed in Laguna Woods Village, including:
    • Park only in designated parking spaces
    • Do not park on sidewalks
    • Speed Limit is 25 MPH on streets, 15 MPH in cul-de-sacs
  5. While in Village common areas, guests must remain in the immediate company of their resident sponsor, except as allowed by specific Recreation and Special Events Department rules.
  6. Absolutely no solicitation is allowed inside Laguna Woods Village.
  7. Issuance of this pass does not authorize the passholder to reside in Laguna Woods Village at any time.
  8. Passes are property of the Golden Rain Foundation of Laguna Woods and must be relinquished upon notification. When moving out of the community, it is the responsibility of resident sponsors to collect all passes from all guests and return them to Community Access. A fee may be imposed for each pass that is not returned.
  9. There is a $15 nonrefundable fee to replace any pass other than at the annual renewal (lost, altered or destroyed passes).

Register your guests online by visiting the residents page and clicking the "guest pass" link. Once you are presented with the login page, simply use your email address of record and default password to get access to your guest information.

Email: Your email address on file
Default Password: Your Resident ID (the number on your ID card)

If you don't know your email address on file, or you want to make a change to your information, please contact Resident Services at or call (949)597-4600.

For security reasons, residents are encouraged to change their default password immediately. To do this, once logged in, go to “My Account” and edit your user profile. Here you can also sign up for email and text notifications to alert you when your guest arrives at the gate.

Trash, Recycling and Bulky-Item Pickup in the Village

It may be tempting to try to sneak a TV, microwave or other bulky item in your trash or recycle container, but Waste Management will not service (empty) a container that holds “contaminated” items—bulky items that are not supposed to be in there.

If you have a bulky item you need gone, there is a simple procedure in place to properly remove some of the unwanted or broken clutter from your life.

Waste Management offers free bulky-item collection on the third Saturday of every month. Residents must call Resident Services at 949-597-4600 prior to setting out bulky items. Place items near your trash enclosure or the same location where you place your trash carts on Friday night or before 7 a.m. on Saturday.

In-home bulky-item pickup remains suspended until further notice due to coronavirus-imposed social distancing practices.

Manor Alterations

If you are hiring a contractor to work on your manor, you are responsible for ensuring they follow community rules. For questions, call Manor Alterations in Resident Services at 949-597-4616 or email

Your contractor may perform work only during the following designated times:

  • Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (only quiet work permitted from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.)
  • Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • No work is permitted on Sundays and VMS observed holidays.

To access the Village, contractors must obtain an alterations contractor pass, which is issued with a mutual consent. Contractors are prohibited from parking in visitor parking and must use street parking.

Your contractor is your responsibility. Please ensure the contractor follows the construction waste rules. If your contractor does not abide by the rules your mutual has set, you may be held responsible. Consequences may include a hearing before the board and fines.
