Millions of Americans may be vulnerable to scams and cyberattacks due to a massive data breach earlier this year. The breach exposed over 2.7 billion records from the National Public Data (NPD), including Social Security numbers and other sensitive information.
PC Club Can Aid Safe Computing
The PC Club, which provides tools and education to residents, is offering a safe computing class Thursday, September 26, at 1 p.m. at the Sellards PC Club Learning Center adjacent to the PC Club workshop on the third floor of the Community Center at 24351 El Toro Road. The class will cover the vulnerabilities of using the internet and methods to mitigate risk. Click here to register on the PC Club website and select Class Registration in the left menu or visit the PC Club weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Open to Village residents and their guests, PC Club classes are free, but donations are welcome at the door. Registration is required prior to each class.
