Sing along to your favorite songs from the Sunshine Performance Club‘s sixth major show. Originally presented at the Clubhouse 3 Theater on June 19, 2010, this song-and-dance program will air every Thursday in August on TV6. The original show was free for Village residents and benefited Alzheimer’s research.
Eighteen members of the club performed Broadway, country, opera and other favorites. Featured performers included “Rhapsody in Rhythm” tap dancers, 98-year-old Frank Buchanan, Vern Smith who played guitar and harmonica simultaneously, and Ed Hayes who impersonated many famous entertainers such as Dean Martin and Johnny Cash.. Emcee David Hartman finished the show singing “Climb Every Mountain” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
