The recently released report on human trafficking in Orange County revealed that 50% of the 411 victims recovered during 2023-24 were minors and the average age dropped to 14 years old. This presentation will cover the changes over the last decade in our own backyard and strategies for combatting the growing online recruiting and exploitation of adults and children.

Dr. Sandra Morgan, an educator and nurse, is recognized globally for her expertise in combating human trafficking and working to end violence against women and children. She is co-author of Ending Human Trafficking a Handbook of Strategies for the Church Today, IVP Academic, and is a recipient of the following awards: the William Wilberforce Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Fight against Human Trafficking, the Orangewood Crystal Foundation Vision Award, the LA Times Orange County Inspirational Women Forum and Leadership Award and the Vanguard Faculty Legacy Award as well as being on the Orange County Register’s 125 most influential list.
