PROGRAM: STAYING INDEPENDENT IN OUR HOME, ONE SMART STEP AT A TIME

                 COLLEGE CLUB IN LAGUNA WOODS VILLAGE

           WELCOMES Maria Nicholson, CAPS

        Certified Aging in Place Specialist

This presentation focuses on how our homes can support us — or quietly put us at risk as we age. Maria Nicholson, hone safety and fall prevention specialist, will share practical, easy to understand guidance to help older adults recognize common safety issues in the home, and take thoughtful steps to reduce risk while maintaining comfort, dignity and independence.

Maria has 35 years of experience in residential design, remodeling and home safety planning. Her work is informed by both professional expertise and personal caregiving experience, having helped make important caregiving decisions for close family members.
