On April 10th, the Badminton Club had its first potluck of 2025 at Clubhouse 3, and more than 40 members and guests attended. We enjoyed delicious dishes from countries such as Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, India, Iran, and, of course, the US. President Alice welcomed everyone, thanking all the volunteers, especially Hue and Chizuru for organizing the event, Jonathan for managing the schedule and taking photos and videos, and Calvin for collecting and broadcasting light and cheery background music during lunch. Afterwards, Mrs. Ho led a group line dance to the tune of “New York, New York” and then performed a traditional Korean dance with a matching costume. Vahid and his band’s vocalist brought their musical instruments and showcased several wonderful tunes in Spanish, Persian, and English. VP Richard set up a karaoke machine with songbook selections in multiple languages for all to experience the joy of singing. A few lucky raffle ticket winners also brought home some great prizes. Needless to say, it was a tasty and fun-filled afternoon. We had a blast.
