Topic Masters Club

Where Conversations Come Alive
At the Laguna Woods Village Topic Masters Club, we believe everyone has something worth sharing. Inspired by Toastmasters International, we offer a relaxed, friendly setting where you can speak, listen, laugh—and grow.
There’s no pressure here—just encouragement, curiosity, and a room full of life experience.
Our meetings feature:
- A fun and thought-provoking Q&A session
- Member speeches that inspire and entertain
- Time to connect over refreshments
Come as you are. Speak when you’re ready. Leave feeling inspired.
We meet every Tuesday, year-round
1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Find Your Voice. (It’s Still There—We Promise.)
Join us at Topic Masters—where stories come to life, laughter is guaranteed, and no one gets a ticket for going over 25 mph… even when speaking.
At our weekly meetings, you’ll have the chance to:
FIND YOUR VOICE — It may have been quiet… but it’s ready to speak again
BUILD CONFIDENCE — In a friendly, no-pressure environment (no grading, just growing)
THINK ON YOUR FEET — No script required… just your thoughts and a little courage
SHARE A LAUGH — Because sometimes the best moments are unplanned
MAKE NEW FRIENDS — The kind who actually listen when you talk
Each meeting is guided by a Master of Ceremonies who keeps things moving (and occasionally keeps us in line).
We begin with a brief “Inspiration“—a thoughtful moment to set the tone—followed by the “Word of the Day”, giving everyone a fun challenge to weave into their answers.
Then comes our lively “Quizmaster Session”—a 45-minute, fast-paced, and often hilarious exchange where questions are unexpected and answers are uniquely yours. A gentle Timekeeper keeps us on track—because even great stories need a finish line.
We take a short social break—coffee, tea, snacks, and conversations that often become the highlight of the day.
The second half features two prepared speeches, followed by supportive evaluations—encouraging, helpful, and often sprinkled with humor.
Our group believes it’s never too late to speak up, try something new, and enjoy the process along the way. After all, we’ve edited our calendars so well… sometimes nothing is the plan—and that’s the plan.
