Garden Club of Laguna Woods

Our goal is to provide Club Members and our Community of Laguna Woods Village with current information related to outdoor plants and flowers and their use to enhance our personal residences, all done in a manner which will foster friendships and broaden community camaraderie.
Our Board of Directors and Committee Members all contribute their time to provide members with 9 Monthly Expert Presentations, Member Garden Walks throughout LWV on most Fridays, garden related Group Bus Trips, an annual Garden Show & Faire open/free to all, and an annual December Holiday Luncheon, and perhaps a few other Special Events.

Dues and Guest Fees: Dues are $20.00 per calendar year.  Guest fees are $5.00 per meeting.  Membership is open to Laguna Woods Village residents as well as non-residents.  Our members are encouraged to serve on at least one committee.

Meetings

Monthly meetings are on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in Clubhouse One, except July and August. Speakers are recognized experts, UC Master Gardeners, or representatives from major nurseries who speak on a wide range of fascinating gardening topics with demonstrations and/or slide  presentations frequently included. At each meeting a drawing is held for donated plants, cuttings, books and various garden items. An opportunity to meet speakers, members and guests follows each meeting.

Garden Walks

THESE Walks are scheduled and led by CINDY MUMMA and they provide our members a wonderful opportunity to get to know our beautiful Laguna Woods community and some of our garden enthusiasts. Free and open to Garden Club members only.  Call CINDY for details at 949-315-5622.

December Holiday Luncheon

This is a catered event with entertainment and replaces the December meeting. Cost is by event.

April Garden Show and Faire

This is a spectacular exhibition of plants and flowers grown and arranged by Village Residents.  Village artisans will display their works. Live entertainment. There is no charge and it replaces the April meeting.

Bus Excursions

Bus trips to observe artistic or architectural use of plants, flowers and trees are planned quarterly. Cost varies according to event.
