The Laguna Woods Village Security Department is excited to announce that it is currently seeking part-time security patrol officers to join its dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for Village residents, especially those with prior law enforcement experience, to contribute to the safety and well-being of our wonderful community.
Security patrol officers play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for all Village residents and guests. Responsibilities include monitoring community areas, responding to incidents and working collaboratively with fellow officers, along with members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Orange County Fire Authority, to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
Ideal candidates should possess:
- Previous law enforcement or security experience
- Possession of or ability to obtain a BSIS Guard Card within 60 days of employment
- Possession of and ability to maintain a valid California driver’s license
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching
- Ability to regularly carry and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to kneel, pull, push, stoop, lift and twist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to serving the Laguna Woods Village community
