Both the Third Laguna Hills Mutual and United Laguna Woods Mutual boards of directors are calling for interested Laguna Woods Village members to submit candidate applications for the 2023 annual election. Both boards seek to fill four seats with terms ending with the 2026 annual election.
Interested members may obtain an application and election process instructions from the Office of the CEO, located in the Community Center (24351 El Toro Road) from Corporate Secretary Makayla Schwietert (949-268-2295) or Assistant Corporate Secretary Paul Nguyen (949-268-2383).
Completed applications, candidate video agreements and candidate statements documents are due to the corporate secretaries and the inspector of elections no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023. The tabulation of ballots will take place Friday, September 29, 2023.
Third Mutual candidates with the most votes will be seated on the Third board at the annual corporate members meeting on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
United Mutual candidates with the most votes will be seated on the United board at the annual corporate members meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
