Who’s ready to take the plunge in the 2026 Lap Challenge? Embark on an epic swim adventure—a virtual “journey” covering 250 miles from Stockholm to Helsinki. That’s equivalent to 8,750 laps or 17,500 lengths.
How It Works
Swim at lap pools 2 and 5 anytime during the year. Log your progress ऑनलाइन or with the pool attendant every time you swim to track your miles. Use the same measurement each time (laps or lengths).
This exciting challenge is open to all residents, so dive in, stay motivated, and make every lap count. The challenge ends December 26, 2026. For more information, contact 949-597-4273.
2025 Lap Challenge Highlights
A huge round of applause for the 2025 Lap Challenge swimmers, who set out to swim 180 miles from Busan, South Korea, to Nagasaki, Japan. That ambitious goal translates to 6,300 laps or 12,600 lengths in the pool.
- Champion: Eng-Hong Lin swam an astonishing 14,359 laps to exceed the challenge.
- Runner-up: Alan Tsubota also exceeded the goal by swimming 11,385 laps.
- Third place: Richard Fairweather Lin powered through 10,783.175 laps to reach and exceed the goal.
