This year, from February 25 to 28, was the Baha’i celebration of Ayyam-i-Ha. It is a time of preparation for the 19 day fast. It is also a time for hospitality, charity, and the giving of presents. The Baha’is of Laguna Woods, as well as other communities, responded to a food donation drive to benefit the Orange County Food Bank, sponsored by the Costa Mesa Baha’i Center.
We joyously report that over 1,000 pounds of groceries were collected and delivered. Costa Mesa Baha’is are in consideration of making this a yearly event.
“Charity is pleasing and praiseworthy in the sight of God and is regarded as a prince among goodly deeds.”
