Gate 12 Guest Access Policy

Gate 12 operates differently from other Village gates due to the absence of security arms. To address increased reports of nonresidents using amenities, Security Services has implemented stricter enforcement of the longstanding access policy.

Key points for residents and guests to know:

  • Guest passes: Passes issued by Resident Services or dwellingLIVE will not be accepted at Gate 12, regardless of the date. When creating a dwellingLIVE pass, include “Gate 12” in the company field and inform the Gate Ambassador verbally.
  • Guest entry: Guests must either accompany the resident in the same vehicle or immediately follow them through the gate. The resident must identify the guest to the Gate Ambassador.
  • Separate guest arrivals: Guests arriving separately must be added to the Resident Services gate clearance database, or residents must call Gate Clearance (949-597-4301) with specific details (location, date, and time) before the guest’s arrival.
  • Gate clearance for amenities: Requests for Gate 12 access via dwellingLIVE must specify the purpose (e.g., pickleball, 19 Restaurant & Lounge) and can be valid for up to two weeks. Longer requests should go through Resident Services (residentservices@vmsinc.org; 949-597-4600).
  • ID Checks: Gate Ambassadors verify IDs, including resident IDs, to ensure compliance with contractual obligations for 19 Restaurant & Lounge and to prevent unauthorized nonresident use of golf, lawn bowling, and pickleball facilities.
