Excess mortar will be removed. Weep holes of the proper<\/p>\n<p>size and location shall be provided as needed.<\/p>\n<p>3.0<\/p>\n<p>PREPARATIONS<\/p>\n<p>3.41<\/p>\n<p>In each case, the site will be inspected by the Alterations Division prior to<\/p>\n<p>work for adjustments pertaining to this section.<\/p>\n<p>3.2<\/p>\n<p>No block walls will be allowed that will hinder yard drainage.<\/p>\n<p>3.3<\/p>\n<p>No block walls will be allowed in areas where access for maintenance is<\/p>\n<p>required.<\/p>\n<p>3.4<\/p>\n<p>In no case will a block wall or its related components cover sprinklers,<\/p>\n<p>sprinkler lines, or other related items.<\/p>\n<p>3.5<\/p>\n<p>No block wall will be allowed that may encroach upon a view of a<\/p>\n<p>neighboring manor as determined by the Alterations Division.<\/p>\n<p>3.6<\/p>\n<p>No block walls will be permitted in Common Area<\/p>\n<p>4.0<\/p>\n<p>APPLICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>4.1<\/p>\n<p>No wall shall be over 5 feet in or under 12 inches in height. Existing patio<\/p>\n<p>block walls may be raised or lowered in accordance with these dimensions<\/p>\n<p>and the location as determined by the Alterations Division.<br \/>\n4.2<\/p>\n<p>Gates constructed in accordance with Mutual Standard 17: Patio Gates<\/p>\n<p>and Courtyard Doors may be incorporated into a block wall as approved<\/p>\n<p>by the Alterations Division.<\/p>\n<p>4.3<\/p>\n<p>Gaps between patio block walls may be filled in with materials that are in<\/p>\n<p>accordance with Mutual Standard 16: Fences, Wrought Iron and Mutual<\/p>\n<p>Standard 17: Patio Gates and Courtyard Doors to match any existing gate.<\/p>\n<p>4.4<\/p>\n<p>Wrought iron fencing constructed in accordance with Mutual Standard 16:<\/p>\n<p>Fences, Wrought Iron may be incorporated on a block wall as approved by<\/p>\n<p>the Alterations Division.<\/p>\n<p>4.5<\/p>\n<p>Walls may be covered with stucco to match the building. The stucco finish<\/p>\n<p>must match the existing texture and color. Grout lines must be flush with<\/p>\n<p>existing block prior to stucco application. Brick or tile caps may be<\/p>\n<p>permitted.<\/p>\n<p>4.6<\/p>\n<p>All walls shall be constructed within the approved patio dimensions. Patio<\/p>\n<p>slabs shall not be extended without written approval of the Board. All walls<\/p>\n<p>shall be constructed on engineered footings. Planting areas between the<\/p>\n<p>wall and slab are acceptable. Maintenance of these planter areas shall<\/p>\n<p>become the sole responsibility of the Mutual member.<\/p>\n<p>4.7<\/p>\n<p>Lattice or bamboo panels are not allowed on block walls.<\/p>\n<p>5.0<\/p>\n<p>SPRINKLER REVISIONS<\/p>\n<p>5.1<\/p>\n<p>Sprinklers will be revised only by the Mutual&#8217;s designated Landscape<\/p>\n<p>crew; the cost of such revisions shall be borne by the Mutual Member.<\/p>\n<p>5.2<\/p>\n<p>No sprinklers will be placed inside any patio area by the Mutual&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>designated Landscape crews, and any systems added shall not be<\/p>\n<p>connected to the Mutual-owned system.<\/p>\n<p>6.0<\/p>\n<p>OPENINGS IN WOOD FRAMED PATIO WALLS<\/p>\n<p>6.1<\/p>\n<p>The size of openings is optional and must be approved by the Alterations<\/p>\n<p>Division.<\/p>\n<p>6.2<\/p>\n<p>Openings must be located such as to maintain symmetry along the patio<\/p>\n<p>wall. The top of an opening shall be in line with the top of the windows of<\/p>\n<p>the manor. The first opening shall set a size and location precedent for<\/p>\n<p>any future openings on patio walls on the same side of the building.<\/p>\n<p>6.3<\/p>\n<p>The finished openings must match the existing finish on the patio wall.<\/p>\n<p>Wood finish trim or brick veneer is not allowed.<\/p>\n<p>6.4<\/p>\n<p>Neighbor Awareness Forms may be required as determined by the<\/p>\n<p>Alterations
