A City of Laguna Woods permit may be required. All fees<\/p>\n<p>for both Mutual and City permits shall be paid for by the Member and\/or<\/p>\n<p>his or her contractor. Member and\/or his or her contractor must provide<\/p>\n<p>the Permits and Inspections office with City permit number(s) prior to<\/p>\n<p>beginning work.<\/p>\n<p>1.2<\/p>\n<p>MEMBERS&#8217; RESPONSIBILITY: The Member is solely responsible for<\/p>\n<p>the maintenance, repair, and\/or removal of all alterations to the<\/p>\n<p>building.<\/p>\n<p>1.3<\/p>\n<p>CODES AND REGULATIONS: All work shall comply with all<\/p>\n<p>applicable local, state, and federal requirements including, but not<\/p>\n<p>limited to, the current edition of the National Electric Code (NEC).<\/p>\n<p>1.4<\/p>\n<p>WORK HOURS: No work shall commence prior to 7:00a.m. and no<\/p>\n<p>work shall be permitted after 6:00p.m. Monday through Friday. Work on<\/p>\n<p>Saturday shall be permitted from 9:00a.m \u2014 2:00p.m. for work which<\/p>\n<p>results in construction-related noise (e.g. cutting tile, hammering, use<\/p>\n<p>of power tools). For work that does not result in excessive noise, such<\/p>\n<p>as painting and carpet installation, permitted hours are 7:00a.m. \u2014<\/p>\n<p>6:00p.m. No work whatsoever shall be permitted on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>1.5<\/p>\n<p>PLANS: The Member applying for a permit shall provide to the Permits<\/p>\n<p>and Inspections office a detailed plan(s) for approval indicating all work<\/p>\n<p>to be done, i.e., size, location, description and specifications.<\/p>\n<p>1.6<\/p>\n<p>DUMPSITES: The premises shall be kept free of accumulation of<\/p>\n<p>waste materials and\/or rubbish caused by construction work. The<\/p>\n<p>Member and\/or his or her contractor is responsible for removal of<\/p>\n<p>debris and excess material and must leave work areas &#8220;BROOM<\/p>\n<p>CLEAN&#8221; daily. USE OF COMMUNITY DUMPSITES FOR<\/p>\n<p>CONSTRUCTION RELATED DUMPING IS NOT PERMITTED.<br \/>\nContractor&#8217;s or Member&#8217;s dumpsters, if required, must have location<\/p>\n<p>approved by the Permits and Inspections office.<\/p>\n<p>1.7<\/p>\n<p>CONTRACTOR: Installation must be performed by a California<\/p>\n<p>licensed contractor of the appropriate trade.<\/p>\n<p>1.8<\/p>\n<p>CONTRACTOR\u2019S CONDUCT: Member&#8217;s contractor&#8217;s, their personnel,<\/p>\n<p>and sub-contractors shall refrain at all times from using profanity,<\/p>\n<p>abusive or loud language, and must wear shirts at all times. Radio,<\/p>\n<p>MP3, CD or cassette players are not permitted on the project site.<\/p>\n<p>Contractor personnel will, at all times, extend and exhibit a courteous<\/p>\n<p>demeanor to residents.<\/p>\n<p>1.0<\/p>\n<p>GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (2)<\/p>\n<p>1.1<\/p>\n<p>The Permits and Inspections office shall issue permits for all storage<\/p>\n<p>cabinets in carports, breezeways, and parking areas.<\/p>\n<p>1.2<\/p>\n<p>All cabinets shall be constructed of wood per standard plan drawings.<\/p>\n<p>1.3<\/p>\n<p>Cabinets shall be positively attached to adjacent wall or structure to<\/p>\n<p>prevent overturning as required by the Uniform Building Code. Method<\/p>\n<p>of attachment shall provide a minimum of 1.5-inch clearance (air)<\/p>\n<p>space to prevent moisture damage to the cabinet.<\/p>\n<p>1.4<\/p>\n<p>A 12\u201d access shall be maintained between cabinets and existing<\/p>\n<p>plumbing, electrical, or other utility installations and\/or outlets.<\/p>\n<p>1.5<\/p>\n<p>No refrigerators, freezers, or other major electric appliances will be<\/p>\n<p>allowed in or around storage cabinets. No electrical wiring shall be run<\/p>\n<p>through the cabinet.<\/p>\n<p>1.6<\/p>\n<p>No loose items are allowed outside of storage cabinets. All personal<\/p>\n<p>property, including foot lockers, file cabinets, trunks and work benches<\/p>\n<p>shall be stored in cabinets and shall not violate use restrictions set forth<\/p>\n<p>in Article Ill of Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>1.7<\/p>\n<p>All cabinets shall be legibly labeled with the manor number.<\/p>\n<p>1.8<\/p>\n<p>Permits will not be required for cabinets, which are located within<\/p>\n<p>patios or balconies provided they are no taller than 4\u2019-0&#8243;, no wider than<\/p>\n<p>4-0&#8243;, or no deeper than 3\u2019-0&#8243;.<\/p>\n<p>2.0<\/p>\n<p>CARPORT CABINETS<\/p>\n<p>21<\/p>\n<p>Cabinets shall be no taller than 3\u2019-6\u201d, no wider than the carport stall,<\/p>\n<p>nor deeper than 2-6\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>2.2<\/p>\n<p>Cabinets shall be painted to match all existing cabinets or adjacent<\/p>\n<p>building walls (if no cabinets exist in the area).<br \/>\n23<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet shall be installed on a base constructed of galvanized or<\/p>\n<p>non-ferrous metal, pressure treated lumber, or equivalent material as<\/p>\n<p>determined by the Permits and Inspections office.<\/p>\n<p>3.0<\/p>\n<p>BREEZEWAY CABINETS<\/p>\n<p>3.41<\/p>\n<p>Breezeway cabinets will be permitted in Casa Linda (11-06 type) and<\/p>\n<p>Casa Contenta (KK-08 type) buildings only.<\/p>\n<p>3.2<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet shall be no taller than 5\u00b0-6\u201d, no wider than 3\u2019-0\u201d, nor deeper<\/p>\n<p>than 1\u2019-6\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>3.3<\/p>\n<p>Cabinets will be limited to two per breezeway on a first-come, first-<\/p>\n<p>served basis.<\/p>\n<p>3.4<\/p>\n<p>Cabinet units will be placed under stairwell area as indicated on<\/p>\n<p>drawing.<\/p>\n<p>3.5<\/p>\n<p>Cabinets will be painted to match existing building color.<\/p>\n<p>3.6<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet shall be placed on castors.<\/p>\n<p>4.0<\/p>\n<p>UNDERGROUND CARPORT CABINETS<\/p>\n<p>(GARDEN VILLA-TYPE BUILDINGS)<\/p>\n<p>4.1<\/p>\n<p>Cabinets shall be limited to the manor owner&#8217;s space or adjacent area<\/p>\n<p>as approved by the Permits and Inspections office and conform to the<\/p>\n<p>standard plans.<\/p>\n<p>4.2<\/p>\n<p>Cabinets shall be painted to match all existing cabinets or adjacent<\/p>\n<p>building walls (if no cabinets exist in the area).<\/p>\n<p>4.3<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet shall be no taller than 7\u00b0-0\u201d, no wider than 4\u2019-0\u201d, nor deeper<\/p>\n<p>than 3-0\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>4.4<\/p>\n<p>In those areas where the adjacent wall height is 3&#8242;-6&#8243;; the cabinets<\/p>\n<p>shall not exceed the height of the wall.<\/p>\n<p>4.5<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet shall be installed on a base constructed of galvanized or<\/p>\n<p>non-ferrous metal, pressure treated lumber, or equivalent material as<\/p>\n<p>determined by the Permits and Inspections office.<\/p>","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","document_category":[1075,1740],"document_type":[53],"class_list":["post-17488","document","type-document","status-publish","hentry","document_category-architectural-standards-operating-rules-third","document_category-third-architectural-standards-ma","document_type-other"],"acf":{"document":81926,"resolutions":null,"legacy_id":"","pdf_extracted_text":""},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Third Standard 30 Storage Cabinets | Laguna Woods Village<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"noindex, follow\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"zh_CN\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Third Standard 30 Storage Cabinets | Laguna Woods Village\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"THIRD LAGUNA HILLS MUTUAL SECTION 30 STORAGE CABINETS FEBRUARY 1985 REVISED JUNE 2002, RESOLUTION M3-02-29 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS REVISED APRIL 2011, RESOLUTION 03-11-49 1.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1.1 PERMITS AND FEES: A Mutual permit is required for all alterations to the building.
