FCC Older Americans Month Webinar

In honor of Older Americans Month, the Federal Communications Commission’s Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau will host a free webinar on Thursday, May 22, from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

This session will explore how staying connected through communication technology can help older adults challenge outdated stereotypes and reshape the conversation around aging. The webinar individuals and communities to embrace a more empowered, inclusive view of aging. 

Attendees will learn about: 

  • Connectivity as a tool to prevent social isolation 
  • Telehealth resources 
  • Virtual volunteer opportunities 
  • Hearing aid compatibility for wireline telephones and wireless handsets 
  • Captioning information and resources
