Tree Trimming in Aliso Creek

Starting Monday, March 3, 2025, essential tree trimming will take place in certain areas of Aliso Creek to help improve safety for our community and wildlife. This project is focused on reducing fire fuel and minimizing potential coyote habitats, ensuring a safer environment for both residents and local wildlife.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Dates: Phase 1 of tree trimming began on Monday, March 3, and will be completed by Friday, March 14, weather permitting. Phase 2 is scheduled from Monday, April 21, to Friday, May 2.
  • Affected areas: The trimming will be concentrated in designated parts of Aliso Creek, particularly areas with dense tree coverage near pathways and residential zones. We will complete this project in two phases.
  • Purpose: The work is part of our ongoing efforts to reduce fire fuel by clearing dry brush and overgrown trees. Additionally, this will help limit the areas where coyotes may find shelter, which is a critical step in reducing human-wildlife conflicts.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we carry out this important safety measure. Please be mindful of temporary closures or detours in affected areas.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe for our residents and wildlife!
