Seeking Advisors for Third Landscape Committee

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law California Assembly Bill 1572, which will ban the irrigation of nonfunctional turf grass in public spaces and HOAs, effective in stages from 2027 to 2031. For HOAs, the deadline to completely remove turf is January 1, 2029. The new law will ban irrigating nonfunctional turf (sometimes called ornamental turf or decorative grass) with potable water, or water suitable for human consumption.

To that, the Third Landscape Committee seeks two residents each from Gates 11 and 14 to act as advisors to support the committee throughout the turf reduction process at those areas and ensure residents are kept abreast of important developments and changes related to AB 1572.
