Updates from Transportation, Recreation and Special Events
On Sunday, March 14, Orange County advanced to the Red Tier in the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, which guides reopening with respect to COVID-19. Hotels, theaters, places of worship and many other businesses and services may now reopen indoors at limited capacity, and restrictions have relaxed at retail stores, malls, restaurants and many other businesses and services.
That means Laguna Woods Village has the green light to advance and expand amenity offerings, as well.
Below are updates for the Transportation Division and Recreation and Special Events Department.
TRANSPORTATION DIVISION
Starting Sunday, March 21, to accommodate residents needing transportation to worship services, the Transportation Division will restart the Boost program using Lyft rideshare. To schedule a ride, please call Transportation at 949-597-4659. Note: This service is currently not available using the Lyft phone app.
