A Documentary Film on the Pullman Porters

Clubhouse 5, Room 1

Saturday, February 15

3 p.m.

The African American Heritage Club presents a wonderful documentary during Black History Month on the Pullman Porters. This is a film that documents lives in the late 1860's of former slaves that were hired by George Pullman to serve as porters after the American Civil War. These men played a significant role to fuel the Great Migration, shape a new black middle class and launch the civil rights movement.
