Transportation Consultant Delivers Study Recommendations
On Wednesday, October 2, consultants Fehr and Peers presented its transportation study recommendations to the Mobility & Vehicles Committee for review. Recommendations include redesigning the fixed-route system, operating fixed routes on Saturdays, revising Plan-A-Ride policy and scheduling, enhancing phone responsiveness, adjusting vehicle use for Plan-A-Ride and partnering with AgeWell Services. VMS will present an implementation plan that will remain within the approved 2020 budget to the committee and during a subsequent special meeting prior to bringing it to the GRF board. The GRF M&V Committee special meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Community Center Board Room.
