Find answers during an informational meeting at the Performing Arts Center, Wednesday, May 8, at 5 p.m.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 12, in partnership with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), has extended the deadline to review and submit comments regarding the I-5/El Toro Road interchange project until Monday, May 20.
To help Village Residents understand how this project may affect them, Caltrans and OCTA will hold an informational meeting at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Wednesday, May 8, at 5 p.m. The meeting’s lecture-style format will share the same information presented at the public hearing held on April 18, including the 3D renderings video and the display boards.
The I-5/El Toro Road interchange improvement project proposes to improve traffic flow, optimize traffic signalization, reduce congestion and reduce freeway traffic queuing adjacent to the I-5/El Toro Road interchange. The project is currently in the environmental study and preliminary engineering process, which began in mid-2017 and is expected to be completed in late 2019.
A draft environmental study that evaluates the project’s potential benefits and effects is available for public review and comment. View the document here.
