A Word From SCE
Southern California Edison (SCE) has been working in the Village to upgrade service that should reduce the frequency of unplanned power outages. Part of this work requires planned power outages. Residents who have been or will be affected have been notified by mail by SCE. It is SCE’s obligation to send advanced notification letters to Residents affected by these planned power outages with information including the dates and times for each planned power outage.
Some Residents have expressed concern about the planned outages taking place this week because of an anticipated heat wave. We have been contacted by a SCE spokesperson and told that because temperatures are not anticipated to exceed the mid-90s, the planned outages are going to proceed. We have been assured that if temperatures soar higher than forecasted, SCE will revisit this decision.
You can consult the SCE Outage Center on the utility’s website at http://on.sce.com/upgrades or call SCE at 800-611-1911 for more information.
Regardless of how high the temperature gets, remember if you or your pet(s) need a place to cool off, air-conditioned lounges are available in all Village Clubhouses (with the exception of Clubhouses 2 and 6) and the Village Library during normal operating hours. The library is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For Clubhouse hours, click here: https://lagunawoodsvillage.com...
