Women Golfer’s Provide Opportunity to help local Food Pantry

More than 100 Village residents receive monthly aid from the South County Outreach Pantry. The Laguna Woods Women’s Golf Club (18 Holes) will be conducting a month-long Food Drive to benefit the program; all residents are invited to participate.

The drive kicks off Tuesday, May 15 at the club’s General Meeting with a presentation by Renee Stevenson, Direct of Operations for the South County Outreach Pantry. The Food Drive will continue every Tuesday through June Tuesday, June 19. Each week, there will be a request for specific items. Sauces and pastas are requested the week of May 15. Check the Laguna Woods Women’s Golf Club website for each week’s requests. Checks payable to South County Outreach are also welcomed.

A collection barrel will be available in Club Room 3 at the Golf Course/Restaurant 19, each Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
