We appreciate our Good Neighbor Building & Block Captains!
The Disaster Preparedness Task Force on Tuesday, August 29 held an Appreciation BBQ for all Good Neighbor Building Captains and Block Captains. Along with great food and raffle prizes, our captains received their new vests and name pins. In the event of a major incident or disaster, these vests will clearly identify our Good Neighbor Building Captains as they do their part in checking on the welfare of neighbors and providing critical information to first responders and other emergency personnel.
Have you ever considered serving as a Good Neighbor Building or Block Captain? The position is a great way to stay involved, meet new people and contribute to a friendly and safe community. For more information about disaster preparedness or the Good Neighbor Building Captain Program, email Chief Tim Moy at Chief@vmsinc.org.
Our next Good Neighbor Building Captain training takes
place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 3 at Clubhouse 7. The Great California
Shake Out drill follows on October 19. Please mark your calendars and
stay tuned for more information.
