Temporary Disruption of Over-the-Air Channels

Due to ongoing fires, some over-the-air channels may be temporarily unavailable. However, these channels can still be accessed via their respective apps or websites. Rest assured that the VMS team is actively working to restore the affected signals.

Currently, KABC has lost their over-the-air broadcast signal due to the fires in Los Angeles and Mt. Wilson. Residents can go online to view KABC content at abc7.com.

PBS SoCal and PBS SoCal Plus are also temporarily unavailable via over-the-air antenna. Channels 8 and 10 are affected. Residents can go online to watch PBS streaming on the PBS app or at pbssocal.org/live.

Both the Resident Services and Broadband Services telephone queues now feature updated messages informing callers about the channel outages. Please note that these outages are not limited to the Village but stem from broader events occurring in the Los Angeles area.

Additionally, a broadcast equipment failure on January 5 impacted access to local Los Angeles stations for some viewers. If you are experiencing missing channels, perform a “channel scan” on your TV to restore access. For guidance, refer to their TV’s owner’s manual, as each manufacturer offers unique steps.

Updates are being posted to the community website, the Village Facebook page, and broadcast on TV6 as new information becomes available.
