As of 7/17/2021 High-Intermediate Level has been discontinued. Levels of play will be Advanced or Intermediate/Open.
After much consideration, the Volleyball Board has decided to add a High-Intermediate Level play day. This will be effective on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. All players listed as Advanced and High-Intermediate are invited.
Note from Intermediate Level Panel:
IN 2018, it was decided that our volleyball club would start up a “High Intermediate” level play day. This would allow the higher intermediate level players to play at a more competitive level. Our new Volleyball Club bylaws includes having an Intermediate Level Panel decide who will be eligible to play on the High Intermediate play day. This panel has met to decide the best way to select best method to identify the High Intermediate players.
There were 12 intermediate level players who attended the Intermediate Panel meeting. During the meeting they completed the ranking and rating form for all 22 intermediate level club members. The panel also had 7 advanced volleyball club members rank and rate the intermediate level players. This input was used to determine who should be identified as “High Intermediate” level players.
The Intermediate Level Panel members will monitor the High-Intermediate and Intermediate level play days. When the majority of the Intermediate Level Panel agrees a player meets the high-intermediate level skills requirements, they will add that player to the approved for High-Intermediate play list. When the majority of the panel thinks a player no longer meets the high-intermediate level skills requirements, they will remove that player from the approved for High-Intermediate play list.
The list of players eligible to play on the High Intermediate Level play days as determined by the Intermediate Level Panel is posted on the Volleyball bulletin board in the mini gym.
