GENERAL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n

DEFINITIONS<\/p>\n

For the purpose of this Standard, a Hot Tub shall be defined as a<\/p>\n
large tub that can accommodate two or more persons, and is filled<\/p>\n
with hot aerated water and used for recreation and physical<\/p>\n
therapy.<\/p>\n
3.0<\/p>\n
OBLIGATIONS<\/p>\n
3.41<\/p>\n
The member is hereby noticed that the Mutual may need to perform<\/p>\n
repairs and maintenance to the manor and patio walls, and any<\/p>\n
damage that could result to the alteration hot tub would be the<\/p>\n
responsibility of the Member, and not the Mutual.<\/p>\n
3.2<\/p>\n
Further, the member is responsible to move and\/or remove the hot<\/p>\n
tub as necessary to facilitate the performance of maintenance and<\/p>\n
repairs to Mutual property.<\/p>\n
3.3<\/p>\n
The member is required to provide proof of personal liability<\/p>\n
insurance with limits of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence with an<\/p>\n
insurer with an AM Best rating or A-VIII or higher and to name Third<\/p>\n
Laguna Hills Mutual as an additional insure with proof to be<\/p>\n
forwarded to the Risk Management Department annually. Limit<\/p>\n
may be a combination of homeowners and umbrella or excess<\/p>\n
liability insurance.
\n4.0<\/p>\n
APPLICATIONS<\/p>\n
4.1<\/p>\n
A hot tub may only be installed on top of a concrete patio slab<\/p>\n
surrounded by patio walls at least 5\u201d in height, and at ground level.<\/p>\n
A hot tub must be portable and may not be permanently installed in<\/p>\n
any fashion.<\/p>\n
4.2<\/p>\n
Hot tubs on balconies or raised platforms are prohibited.<\/p>\n
4.3<\/p>\n
A Mutual and City permit is required for the hot tub, and for<\/p>\n
electrical modifications made to accommodate the hot tub, if any<\/p>\n
4.4<\/p>\n
A hot tub may only drain into the sanitary sewer system, and not<\/p>\n
into the street, the storm drains, or adjacent landscaped areas.<\/p>\n
4.5<\/p>\n
