Club Information

LAGUNA WOODS Village Library Book Clubs

VILLAGE LIBRARY volunteers host monthly book discussions for 3 book clubs. Since March 2020, all monthly book club discussions continued to meet, but online, via a Professional Zoom Account established for the Village Library. In May 2021 the first “Post COVID-19 Reopening” book club meeting was joyfully held in person at our Village Library. Hopefully the others will follow suit soon.

Our Village Library Book Club meets at our library on 3 different nights of each month:

  • 2ND MONDAY BOOK CLUB MEETS AT 6PM
  • 3RD TUESDAY BOOK CLUB ALSO MEETS AT 6PM
  • 4TH WEDNESDAY AKA “WOMEN’S VOICES” BOOK CLUB MEETS AT 7PM

Members of each book club nominate and vote for that club’s next 11 reads each Fall. Our Voting Process is followed by the winning books being revealed at an annual party. Current and some prior year book lists are available below under the “Documents” heading and also printed in our annual tri-fold brochure available at our Village front desk.

We are pleased to welcome residents as new members of any of the VILLAGE LIBRARY BOOK CLUBS. Even if you have not had a chance to read the book, you might enjoy hearing what the book club members have to say about their experience reading it. Most of our meetings include some good laughs, and It can be so interesting how differently others can interpret the same words in the same book you both just read! Book Club discussions can broaden your perspective as well as be enjoyable/educational experience.

INTERESTED IN JOINING A BOOK CLUB? VISIT OUR VILLAGE LIBRARY AND SPEAK WITH OUR BOOK CLUBS DIRECTOR, DONNA DAHL, OR COMPLETE A NEW BOOK CLUB MEMBER FORM AVAILABLE AT OUR FRONT DESK AND IN THE “DOCUMENTS” AREA BELOW.
