Aluminum, vinyl and composite are materials currently accepted. All<\/p>\n<p>other materials are subject to review by Manor Alterations and the ACSC.<\/p>\n<p>Wood is prohibited.<\/p>\n<p>3.2<\/p>\n<p>Finish colors to be white or black. Other colors are subject to review and<\/p>\n<p>approval by the ACSC.<\/p>\n<p>A. All windows \/ frames along any one given elevation are to match in<\/p>\n<p>color.<\/p>\n<p>4.0<\/p>\n<p>DESIGN CRITERIA<\/p>\n<p>41<\/p>\n<p>XOX windows may replace XO windows and vice versa, (i.e. fixed panels may<\/p>\n<p>replace sliding panels and sliding panels may replace fixed panels).<\/p>\n<p>4.2<\/p>\n<p>XO windows may be converted to a picture window and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>A. The height and width of the opening must remain the same<\/p>\n<p>B. Egress requirements cannot be compromised.<\/p>\n<p>4.3<\/p>\n<p>Where window styles have an XO above an XO or OO window below, the<\/p>\n<p>window section below may be filled in to match existing interior and exterior<\/p>\n<p>finishes.<\/p>\n<p>A. Verification<\/p>\n<p>documentation required at Mutual Consent Application.<\/p>\n<p>6.0<\/p>\n<p>GARDEN WINDOWS<\/p>\n<p>6.1<\/p>\n<p>Included in this classification: Greenhouse window, planter window, bay<\/p>\n<p>window. See Section 9.0 Window Styles.<\/p>\n<p>6.2<\/p>\n<p>All garden type windows may be subject to review and approval by the ACSC.<\/p>\n<p>6.3<\/p>\n<p>A garden type window shall not extend farther out from the face of the building<\/p>\n<p>by more than 24 inches.<\/p>\n<p>A. Maximum horizontal dimension 8 feet<\/p>\n<p>B. Maximum vertical dimension 6 feet.<\/p>\n<p>6.4<\/p>\n<p>A garden type window shall be permitted in the following areas:<\/p>\n<p>A. Kitchen<\/p>\n<p>B. Breakfast nook<\/p>\n<p>C. Dining room<\/p>\n<p>D. A window location that projects into an enclosed patio area<\/p>\n<p>6.5<\/p>\n<p>A garden type window is not allowed in the following conditions:<br \/>\nA. Where projection impedes a pedestrian walkway<\/p>\n<p>B. Above the first floor UNLESS it would project into an existing<\/p>\n<p>breezeway.<\/p>\n<p>6.6<\/p>\n<p>A garden type window must not compromise the fire rating of the wall that it is<\/p>\n<p>installed in.<\/p>\n<p>7.0<\/p>\n<p>APPLICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>71<\/p>\n<p>All windows are to comply with current building codes.<\/p>\n<p>7.2<\/p>\n<p>A scaled floorplan showing all new or retrofit locations is required.<\/p>\n<p>A. All retrofit bedroom window installations must meet minimum egress<\/p>\n<p>requirements. See Section 10<\/p>\n<p>7.3<\/p>\n<p>Top of window heights shall be at 6\u2019-8\u201d (6 feet 8 inches). Any variation is<\/p>\n<p>subject to review and approval by the ACSC.<\/p>\n<p>7.4<\/p>\n<p>Size of retrofit windows to be as large as possible with in an existing<\/p>\n<p>opening.<\/p>\n<p>A. All new or retrofit windows in a bedroom shall comply with minimum<\/p>\n<p>egress requirements as dictated by current building codes. See<\/p>\n<p>Section 10.0 reference.<\/p>\n<p>7.5<\/p>\n<p>Casement windows are not permitted where:<\/p>\n<p>A. The opening swings into an area where regular building \/ landscaping<\/p>\n<p>maintenance is required.<\/p>\n<p>B.
