GENERAL GUIDELINES<\/p>\n

Any installation permitted in Mutual Common Area at one story<\/p>\n
buildings must follow all guidelines set forth by the following Mutual<\/p>\n
Alteration Standard.<\/p>\n
2.2<\/p>\n
Prior to installation of any satellite dish, a plan and the specifications of<\/p>\n
all proposed work and equipment must be submitted for approval as<\/p>\n
specified in Section 1.5. The submitted plan must indicate all work to be<\/p>\n
done, i.e., type of dish, size, a full description, it’s location on the<\/p>\n
building, anchoring, and method of sealing wall(s) and attachments.<\/p>\n
Site location will be contingent upon Mutual approval.<\/p>\n
23<\/p>\n
The Mutual Member assumes all responsibility for any damage<\/p>\n
including, but not limited to, roof or wall damage, or damage from<\/p>\n
moisture intrusion resulting from improper installation of the satellite<\/p>\n
dish.<\/p>\n
24<\/p>\n
No satellite dish will be permitted which may become hazardous to<\/p>\n
other residents or workmen due to its location or dimensions.<\/p>\n
2.5<\/p>\n
Any satellite dish must be made easily removable as required for<\/p>\n
performance of maintenance. In the event a satellite dish must be<\/p>\n
removed it must be the Mutual Member’s responsibility to remove and<\/p>\n
properly store the dish until such time that maintenance work has been<\/p>\n
completed. The cost of removal, storage and re-installation must be<\/p>\n
borne by the Mutual Member.<\/p>\n

Any satellite dish installation must follow all guidelines set forth by the<\/p>\n
Federal<\/p>\n
Communications<\/p>\n
Commission’s<\/p>\n
Over-the-Air-Reception-<\/p>\n
Devices rule (OTARD).<\/p>\n
2.7<\/p>\n
Any installation violating these guidelines is subject to immediate<\/p>\n
removal at the sole cost of the Mutual Member, and the restoration of<\/p>\n
any Mutual property, at the Member’s expense.<\/p>\n
2.8<\/p>\n
Should the proposed location of a satellite dish be in an area that is<\/p>\n
technically Common Area, e.g., the roof, then the applicant is required<\/p>\n
to execute and submit to Third Laguna Hills Mutual, prior to installation<\/p>\n
of a dish, the \u201cAgreement Regarding Satellite Dish Installation on<\/p>\n
Common Area Property\u201d.<\/p>\n
2.9<\/p>\n
If the proposed location of a satellite dish be in a location that is<\/p>\n
currently occupied by a functional solar panel, an alternate location will<\/p>\n
be designated by the Alteration Department.<\/p>\n
2.10<\/p>\n
All satellite dish installations must be removed at the time of sale.<\/p>\n
3.0<\/p>\n
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES<\/p>\n
3.41<\/p>\n
Satellite dish installation is permitted on Exclusive Use Common Area,<\/p>\n
i.e., patio, atrium or courtyard. The dish must stay within the footprint of<\/p>\n
such areas.<\/p>\n
3.2<\/p>\n
Satellite dish installation is permitted on building fascias.. The Member<\/p>\n
must coordinate with and<\/p>\n
receive approval from the Alterations<\/p>\n
Department for all satellite dish locations. All satellite dish installations<\/p>\n
must not be visible from neighboring street(s). Satellite dishes must be<\/p>\n
installed no less than twenty (20) feet from the corner of the building<\/p>\n
closest to the street, and cannot be attached on a side of the building<\/p>\n
that faces the street.<\/p>\n
3.3<\/p>\n
For satellite dish installations on building fascias of detached manors,<\/p>\n
the mounting bracket must be clamp style and must fully fit onto the<\/p>\n
fascia, with no overhang.<\/p>\n
3.4<\/p>\n
Satellite dish installation is permitted on flat roofs when the location<\/p>\n
does not interfere with the overall visual continuity of the manor and\/or<\/p>\n
surrounding area. No satellite dish or any portion of a satellite dish and<\/p>\n
its related Members must be attached to any built-up roofing on a flat<\/p>\n
roof. See 2.2 for installation criteria.<\/p>\n
3.5<\/p>\n
To install a dish on a flat roof, mount the satellite dish on a non-<\/p>\n
penetrating satellite dish roof-mount weighted down by a minimum of<\/p>\n
four 8\u201d x 8\u201d x 16\u201d concrete blocks (see Example 1 below).<\/p>\n

For installation of a satellite dish onto a flat PVC cool roof, the member<\/p>\n
must install a 3 X 3\u2019 satellite dish pad provided by the Mutual’s roofing<\/p>\n
contractor at the expense of the Member.<\/p>\n
3.7<\/p>\n
Only one (1) satellite dish per manor is allowed.<\/p>\n
3.8<\/p>\n
Any satellite dish installed on Common Area must not exceed a<\/p>\n
diameter of 36″.<\/p>\n
3.9<\/p>\n
No coaxial cable must be larger than 2\u201d in diameter.<\/p>\n
3.10<\/p>\n
Fasteners must be properly sealed to prevent moisture intrusion.<\/p>\n
Sealants must be specifically manufactured for the application for which<\/p>\n
it is used.<\/p>\n
3.11<\/p>\n
Drilling through a roof is prohibited.<\/p>\n
3.12<\/p>\n
Mounting a satellite dish on a chimney is prohibited.<\/p>\n
3.13<\/p>\n
Utilization of any GRF Broadband installation and\/or equipment is<\/p>\n
prohibited.<\/p>\n
3.14<\/p>\n
Mounting of a satellite dish to PVC, ABS, or plumbing vent pipes is<\/p>\n
prohibited.<\/p>\n
3.15<\/p>\n
No modifications to any fascia, rain gutter or plumbing vent must be<\/p>\n
permitted. A satellite dish installation must not obstruct a rain gutter or<\/p>\n
plumbing vent in any way.<\/p>\n
3.16<\/p>\n
Satellite dishes and<\/p>\n

installation materials must be grounded<\/p>\n
accordance with the National Electric Code.<\/p>\n
