我們村子的理事會選舉即將開始. United/Coop 有七位候選人角逐四個空缺, 3rd/Condo 有五位候選人角逐三個空缺. 趙葆籮先生(Paul Chao)是唯一的亞裔候選人, 他是3rd/Condo 五位候選人之一. 選票將在8月27號開始發出, 投票截止日是9月26號.
去年, 我們候選人造勢運動非常成功, 投出超過1,000票, United/Coop 有三位超過1400票, 3rd/Condo 的華裔候選人佟秉亞先生(James Tung)超過1,800票. 展示了我們亞裔人選票的實力. 謝謝各位對我們亞裔候選人的強力支持.
今年, 我們希望各會的會員們, 能夠給我們像去年一樣的強力支持, 投票給能夠替亞裔村民著想, 替村民講話的候選人.
我誠心的希望貴會能夠鼓勵所有的會員, 帶著他們的選票來參加9月26號前最後一次月會, 我們會介紹各個社區最適合的候選人, 希望貴會員能夠給予全力的支持, 讓村裡重視亞裔及移民問題的候選人能夠當選, 重視我們亞裔移民的福利.

Dear members –
The election campaign has begun. United/Coop has 7 candidates running for 4 openings, 3rd/Condo has 5 candidates running for 3 openings. Paul Chao, a Chinese, is the only Asian Candidate, in the 3rd/Condo Mutual. Ballots will be distributed starting 8/27, must be turned in before EOD 9/26.
Last year, we had a very successful candidate campaign and the result was amazing. All together Asians cast over 1,000 votes, and the highest vote count was over 1,400 in United and 1,800 in 3rd. That demonstrated Asians in our village do have the power to make a difference in the election of the boards. We’ve got their attention thanks for your effort
This year, we can make another difference in the board election, pick those that understand Asian residents issues, and speak for the residents.
I sincerely urge each club to encourage your members to bring your ballots to your month meeting before 9/26. We will introduce the best candidates of the Mutuals, that can help us and residents of this village. Hope you will cast your votes for the best candidates of your Mutuals.
Please let me know if you have an all club member meeting before 9/26, ask your members to bring their ballots to the meeting, and I will introduce the best candidates that we can support. I hope in the future we will have strong representations for Asian and immigrants, and our concerns and suggestions can be fully respected.
