• Manor and/or apartment number
• Telephone number
• Pickup day, date and time
• Appointment time (if any)
• Pickup address
• Drop-off address
• Return time and destination
• Number of passengers accompanying the resident
• Use of wheelchair/walker

Plan-A-Ride is a “demand-response” service. That means you tell us where you want to go and when you want to get there. No more hassles with transfers. Just make your reservation, head to the pickup location and leave the rest to us.

Service during off-peak hours is inefficient and costly to the entire community. Now, a limited number of buses will be going somewhere – not just going around with no one on board.

Plan-A-Ride Guidelines
Why the change?
The fixed-route bus service at Laguna Woods Village keeps 11 buses moving in a continuous loop from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, whether residents need the service or not. The inefficiencies of this kind of system are easy to spot: In off-peak hours, buses often make an entire circuit with just one or two passengers or no passengers at all. And while the service is free for any resident, the growing cost to the community has been enormous. Something had to be done.
