NEW CLASS! Broadway Musical Theatre Dance with Rebecca Bush

Recreation presents Broadway Musical Theatre Dance, a new class scheduled on Fridays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Clubhouse 1 in the main lounge.

Explore the excitement of Broadway in this dance class where participants will learn choreography based on Broadway Musicals. There will be a warm up to prepare the muscles and joints followed by choreographed segments of a stylized dance from a musical.

Instructor, Rebecca Bush began her career as Cookie Monster for Sesame Street at 16 years old. She performed with the Golden State Ballet, Healdsburg Ballet, Sebastopol Ballet, and Anything Goes. More recently she has graced the stages of Saddleback College, Orange Coast College, the Opera Magnifique, and has performed for five years in CHOC Follies. Rebecca continues to train with master instructors Poloma Herrera to Kathryn Doby and Sandal Bergman; she has also trained with Melissa Allen, Aliane Haubert and Michel Gervais.

Enjoy free previews on Friday, July 14 and 21. Students should wear comfortable exercise clothes and supportive sneakers.

Punch cards will be available in the Recreation or Clubhouse One offices. The cost is $70 for 10 classes; residents only. For more information, call 949-597-4273.
