New Class! Israeli Dance with Rebeca Gilad

The Recreation and Special Events Department presents Israeli Dance, a new folk dance class scheduled on Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Clubhouse 2 in the Sequoia Ballroom.

Dance has a wide range of physical and mental benefits: improved condition of the heart and lungs, increased muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness as well as weight management. Dance also promotes friendship, so come dance and meet new friends!

This free class will be taught by resident Rebeca Gilad, who has devoted the past six years to teaching Israeli dance. Rebeca’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Gerontology and a M.A. in Health Services. Rebeca will be teaching her favorite routines: Hava Naguila, Nigun Atik, Erev Ba and more!

Class begins on Thursday, July 6. Students should wear comfortable clothes and supportive sneakers. All levels are welcome; beginners 12-1 p.m. and intermediate 1-2 p.m.. No registration required, free drop-in class; Laguna Woods Village residents only. For more information call 949-597-4273.
