Beginning Belly Dance Class on March 29

The Recreation Division Beginning Belly Dance Class will hold a dance day on Wednesday, March 29 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (formerly Clubhouse 3) Rehearsal Room.  Activities will include dances performed by Village students, a solo specialty number by the instructor, Jheri St. James, live music, and light refreshments.

This popular class has been offered for several years and students recently performed at the Clubhouse 2 Grand Reopening. The students are an enthusiastic group of all levels, introductory, beginning and intermediate, some of whom are now performing in various shows in the Village, Laguna Beach and other cultural diversity events. Come try something new this spring, beginning in April students will learn the Gawazee Tribal routine.

All are welcome to attend this event; those who are interested in registering for the class may do so in the Recreation office or Performing Arts Center (formerly. The fee for seven group lessons is $35 payable by check or credit card. New students may attend their first class free with no registration.
