Will Rogers Polo Trip - Join the Saddle Club Sunday, July 8th, to watch the polo ponies at Will Rogers State Historic Park in beautiful Pacific Palisades. Polo matches are very exciting to watch. “Captivating, heart-stopping, thrilling, enthralling” describe this game of kings. The fascination begins the moment you first glimpse the vast imposing green of the polo field. Excitement builds as eight riders thunder in your direction, hooves drumming on the turf. Your connection is immediate -- almost primal; the experience: unforgettable. Tickets are only $30 for Saddle Club members and $35 for guests. The bus leaves CH3 at 8:30 a.m. and returns at 2:30 p.m. Bring your own sack lunch and folding chair. Send checks to Saddle Club, Box 2515, Laguna Hills, CA 92654. 586-1927 Enjoy a relaxing barbecue at the Village Stables Monday, July 9th. Tickets can be purchased for $7 in the office from 8:00 to noon Wednesday through Sunday. You bring your own plate, utensils, and something to bbq. We supply baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, fruit salad, drinks and pie ala mode. The last day to buy tickets is July 6th. The summer horse show at the Village Equestrian Center is this Saturday, June 30th. It promises to be very fun and entertaining! We will have thrilling formation riding to heart-stirring music from “Mane Attraction” and the “Norco Cowgirls.” We also have two “home-grown” equestrian drill teams composed of Laguna Woods residents and their grandkids. It’s free! The fun starts at 9:00 a.m. There is seating in the shade in grandstands above the arena. All are welcome!
