Village Bazaar April 1

Want some deals without driving far? The Village Bazaar takes place at Clubhouse 5 on April 1; no fooling! Come and make some innovative purchases or just  behold others' treasurers.

Need a ride? Hop on the 1 East Easy Rider Bus at Clubhouse 1 at the top of the hour, and tell the driver to drop you off Clubhouse 5.
Laguna Woods Village Social Services Presents Tips & Techniques on Making Senior Care Possible
The Laguna Woods Village Social Services Department is hosting a workshop, "Tips and Techniques on Making Senior Care Possible." Presented by John Menzies Clark, MBA, CPA with Pathfinder, Senior Care Consulting, attendees will learn how to find the best care values in Orange County. Mr. Menzies will discuss veterans benefits and Medi-Cal, how to eliminate the need for high-level care, and how to lower costs by "care staging." Plus, protecting your home and financial assets, leasing versus selling a house, and more.

Weekly Destination Shopping Brought to You by the Easy Rider

On Tuesdays, the Easy Rider bus takes riders to the Aliso Viejo Town Center for destination shopping. The bus takes shoppers from Clubhouse 1 at 10:00 and 11:00 am. and returns back to Clubhouse 1 are12:15, 1:40 or 2:40 pm.  Grab a meal, do some shopping, even see a movie--the options are limitless. No charge, but please make a reservation as space is limited.  WHAT NUMBER///

United Accepting Applications for Two Board Vacancies
Due to the resignation of Directors Lenny Ross and Jan LaBarge, United Laguna Woods Mutual is accepting applications for qualified candidates willing to serve on the United Mutual Board of Directors. Both terms expire in October 2017.
This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on your community. Applicants must be full-time Residents and have lived in the Village for at least six months. To apply, visit the General Manager’s Office in the Community Center to obtain an application and specific instructions on the election process. Return the completed application to Assistant Corporate Secretary, Leslie Cameron, in the General Manager’s office no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
Candidate interviews and the appointment to fill the open position will be held at United Mutual’s regular board meeting Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. in the Laguna Woods City Hall Council Chambers. Please call 949-268-2295 or email for more information.
